Lucknow: Bahujan Samaj Party president Mayawati, on Sunday, alleged that the nexus between the BJP and the Samajwadi Party had been exposed in Uttar Pradesh.
She said that despite the immunity she enjoys as a Member of Parliament, a case was registered against her in Lucknow by the Akhilesh government at the behest of the BJP.
Ms Mayawati was addressing a press conference at her residence on Sunday.
She also alleged that the derogatory comments made on her by expelled BJP leader Daya Shankar Singh were a part of a larger conspiracy by the top leaders of BJP to target her.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been trying to make a dent into the Dalit vote base but he will not succeed because atrocities on Dalits have increased in the BJP regime and their leaders suffer form an anti-Dalit mentality”, she pointed out.
