Telangana HC quashes SC, ST case against Vemulawada Congress contestant

Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court on Tuesday quashed the criminal case registered against Vemulawada Congress contestant Adi Srinivas under the SC, ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.

It was said that the case was registered against him due to political rivalry. The complainant had alleged that Srinivas had got registered a property in 2008 from persons belonging to the SC community by falsely promising that the sellers would get Indiramma houses under the Congress government. The case was registered in 2016.
