Dry conditions to prevail across Telangana till next week
Hyderabad: Telangana will experience dry weather conditions with scattered rainfall in the coming week. With the weakening of the southwest monsoon current over the state, the intensity of rain is likely to decrease. Last week, the southwest monsoon remained active over Telangana, resulting in an excess of rainfall.
Weather officials say, “The present monsoon conditions over the state indicate that the ongoing subdued rainfall over the south and central parts of Telangana will continue for the next week. The formation of a low-pressure system over the northern Bay of Bengal and neighbouring areas is expected around August 26. This will lead to a slight increase in rainfall in the northern and eastern districts for the subsequent three days.”
Overall, rainfall activity is likely to remain normal for the next week, they said. Like the rest of the state, Hyderabad is likely to experience dry weather conditions. From August 24 to August 30, the weather is likely to remain cloudy with chances of light rain. An increase in temperatures is expected, with maximum temperatures around 31° Celsius.
Light to moderate rainfall is likely to occur in Hyderabad, Vikarabad, Rangareddy, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Wanaparthy, Siddipet, Yadadri-Bhongiri, Jangaon, Jogulamba-Gadwal, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Warangal (U), Warangal, Adilabad, Komarambheem-Asifabab, Mancherial, Peddapalle, Jagtial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Rajanna-Sircilla, Karimnagar, Jayashankar-Bhupalpally, Mahabubabad, Bhadradri-Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda and Suryapet.
