Hyderabad: Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan on Wednesday met Union home minister Amit Shah in Delhi. The two were believed to have discussed matters related to the recent Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, and the current situation and developments in Telangana state.
The Governor was in Delhi to attend a programme on women. She also with Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankar and greeted him on his assuming charge.
In a tweet, the Governor said she “had fruitful discussions” with Shah, and, at the meeting, “discussed welfare activities related to Puducherry and Telangana.” Dr Tamilisai is also the Lt Governor of Puducherry.
Though there was no mention of any discussions whether the current situation in Telangana came up, it is believed that the Governor gave a quick brief on the happenings in the state.
