All government schools to get computer labs: KT Ramarao
Rajanna Siricilla: Minister for information technology K.T. Ramarao on Friday said the state government will establish Computer Labs in all the government schools and residential schools with the support of Tata Business Support Services (TBSS Ltd) to improve the quality of the education to make the students compete in the international arena. He was speaking after inaugurating the Computer Lab in the Government Social Welfare Residential School for girls in Chinnabonala village in Sircilla mandal on Friday.
The minister said they have already created digital classrooms in 5,000 government schools in the state and added that Telangana was the only state in the country which was implementing KG to PG education and was bringing changes under this scheme. Mr Ramarao said Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is making all-out efforts to improve the education standards and also the quality of the food given in the government and residential schools.
TSWREI society secretary R.S. Praveen Kumar said there was a huge demand for the seats in the residential schools and said six students were competing for one seat after improving the conditions and providing quality education and food. Mr Praveen Kumar said it was only in the Telangana State where Degree Residential Colleges are functioning for the benefit of the poor students. Collector Krishna Bhaskar, TBSS Ltd representatives Srinivas Koppula, Anamika Sharma and Manisha and ZPTC Manjula and others were present.
