Hyderabad: Cyberabad police commissioner says no stay orders on QNet probe
Hyderabad: Cyberabad police commissioner V.C. Sajjanar said on Monday said that neither Vihaan Direct Selling nor QNet had secured stay orders from the Supreme Court into the investigation against them and asked people not to believe in the false information spread on stay orders.
Mr Sajjanar said there were several criminal cases filed against Vihaan Direct Selling India Pvt. Ltd, Bengaluru, for cheating more than three lakh people by floating illegal money circulation scheme with binary enrolment. The estimate of the fraud is more than Rs 10,000 crore, and the exact quantity of the figures is still under verification.
The Telangana High Court had not given any stay on the investigation, and there is no bar on registering a fresh case against QNet/Vihaan Direct Selling in case of violation of the law.
He said that the Supreme Court also had not granted stay on the investigations against Vihaan or Qnet. This can be verified on the website of the Supreme Court (WP 31 of 2017 and WP 17 of 2019), Mr Sajjanar said.
