Vijay Krishnan promises best for Andhra Pradesh tourism body

The responsibility was a great opportunity for to set new benchmarks and enhance the tourism sector in the state, says Ms Krishnan.

Vijayawada: Krishna district joint collector Vijay Krishnan on Monday assumed charge as the new Chief Executive Officer of AP Tourism Authority (APTA) at its head office in Auto Nagar, Vijayawada.

Interacting with the media on the occasion, Ms Krishnan said that the responsibility was a great opportunity for to set new benchmarks and enhance the tourism sector in the state.

She said that she would start her stint by getting to understand the successes behind projects like F1H2O, Araku Balloon Festival and Cookery Competitions that have made it to the record books like longest Pootareku and Bamboo Chicken.

The 2013 batch IAS officer came into limelight for sending a message by opting for the government hospital to give birth to her child when she was the sub-collector of East Godavari district.

After assuming charge, Ms Krishnan interacted with officers and staff of APTA and reviewed the tourism projects underway in the state.
