Andhra Pradesh government sanctions Rs 530 crore for CRDA
Hyderabad: The AP Government has accorded permission for construction of two additional floors for the interim government complex at Velagapudi. This was needed for finalising the name of an architect for preparation of a master plan and detailed project report (DPR) for the work.
The government also sanctioned Rs 530 crore as tentative cost for the works, to be given to the AP Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) that will undertake the project. An official release said this would go along with the tendering, grounding works to enable the functioning of the complex.
The CRDA had sought permission to proceed with the process of calling and finalising the name of an architect firm for preparation of the Master Plan and DPR for construction of the two additional floors, as also the interiors and internal works for five buildings including their external infrastructure works, the external elevation and architecture.
Also involved are completion of the design of the legislative building complex. Approval was also given for the proposed timelines with deliverables. The government asked the CRDA commissioner to take necessary action and send proposals.
