Hassan: Minister for Primary and Secondary Education Mahesh made a surprise visit to a Government School at Channapatna in Hassan district on Wednesday and was impressed by the caliber of students.
The Minister spent about two-hours at the school and interacted with the students posing several questions related to current affairs and general knowledge. The feedback impressed the Minister.
Mahesh also sat with the students in a bench and sought information from them regarding the quality of education. He even checked their notebooks.
From one of the students, he checked whether the notes and syllabus matched.
Later he interacted with teachers, who apprised him about the functioning of the school and activities conducted by them.
They demanded that the school building needed immediate repairs. The Minister told the officials concerned to send a report.
He wanted teachers to improve the quality of teaching and left the school after wishing the students good luck.
