Rayalaseema seething with anger over attack
HYDERABAD: Rayalaseema was seething with anger over the knife attack on YSRC chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy at Vizag Airport Lounge on Thursday.
The attack was viewed as motivated by the leaders who said the security of their leader had been compromised and the TD government could go to any length to suppress Opposition.
Panyam MLA Gouru Charitha Reddy's followers burning the effigy of AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu holding him responsible for the lax security at Vizag airport that led to attack.
YSRC leader Buggana Rajender Reddy said that the airport attack was motivated by TD sympathizers and the way the DGP had reacted within one hour, blaming the attack on craze for publicity, was not based on fact. His question was, “How can the DGP react so quickly without conducting a thorough inquiry.”
In Pulivendula, the home town of Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy, people took out a procession on the streets and formed into a human chair and shouted slogans against the government. Mr Y.S. Avinash Reddy, former MP of Kadapa, led the procession.
