Indian Medical Association patents new logo for MBBS doctors
The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has patented a new trade logo to establish the identity of MBBS doctors.
Hyderabad: The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has patented a new trade logo to establish the identity of MBBS doctors and wants doctors to start using the logo. The IMA said doctors must use the logo on their coats, cars and clinical establishments to counter quackery and fake doctors, as only MBBS and higher medical degree holders will be permitted to use the new logo. The patented logo will also differentiate them from AYUSH doctors. Dr K.K. Aggarwal, president of IMA, said, “We have patented the logo to make the differentiation easier. Otherwise, there is too much of confusion. But for that to be a success, the doctors have to use it.”
