Sulking Sri Sri Ravi Shankar skips Dharma Sansad
UDUPI: Sri Sri Ravi Shankar of the Art of Living Foundation gave the Dharma Sansad a miss on Saturday, and called off all his engagements in Udupi and Mangaluru a day after RSS-VHP leaders said his mediation in Ayodhya dispute did not have their backing. A senior VHP leader admitted that Sri Sri Ravi Shankar was concerned about developments at Dharma Sansad, and statements of prominent leaders about his efforts to solve the dispute through a dialogue. VHP’s Joint Secretary General Dr Surendrakumar Jain, reiterated to the media that top leaders were not in support of mediation because such efforts proved futile in the past. “Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is a great saint of India. We all have lot of regard for him. We knew the destiny of efforts and dialogues in the past. They failed due to tough attitude of the Muslim community,” he added.
