Mandya: Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy's statement made on Monday which reportedly went like this, "mercilessaagi shootout maadi...tondareilla" (there would be no issue you shootout them mercilessly” has created a storm in political circles.

Last week, a village accountant of Raichur was mowed down by the sand mafia that shook the entire executive of the state. Deputy chief minister Dr G Parameshwar who holds the home portfolio, when asked about this, gave a standard reply "the government will not tolerate such incidents.
