Hyderabad techie shoots lover in Bengaluru
Bengaluru: In a strange turn of events, a techie from Hyderabad shot his lover after their love story turned soar and attempted to commit suicide immediately after. They were admitted to the hospital and their condition is said to be serious.
The accused, identified as Amarendra Patnaik, 32, was working for an IT company in Hyderabad. He was in love with Shubasri Priyadarshini, 26, who worked in a reputed hospital in the city.
According to the police, both hailed from Odisha and were in love for two years. Later, Amarendra broke up with her and moved on. After that, his marriage was fixed with another girl and the engagement was scheduled.
It is said that, Shubasri had sent pictures of her and Amarendra together to his would be bride following which his marriage was called off.
Enraged by the development, Amarendra came to Bengaluru with a country pistol and shot Shubasri in front of her PG accommodation and ran away.
Later, he attempted suicide by slitting his throat and nerves on his hand, after writing a 17-page emotional suicide note.
The police has moved him to the hospital. Shubashri, who suffered a bullet wound, is recovering and Amarendra’s condition is said to be critical. Marathalli police have recovered the pistol and an investigation is currently underway.
