Nara Lokesh launches Entrepreneurs Organisation, Ap chapter
Vijayawada: IT minister Lokesh said the state government has set a target to make Andhra Pradesh a trillion dollar economy. He was speaking at the launch of Andhra Pradesh chapter of Entrepreneurs Organisation (EO), here on Monday. He said the state government was ailing at 16 pc growth rate. The world’s largest peer-to-peer network of entrepreneurs announced their arrival to AP with the unveiling of the Entrepreneurs Organistaion (EO), AP Chapter. The latest entrant in the EO, South Asia region, is AP and it is the 21st Chapter in the region.
Mr Lokesh said Andhra Pradesh had become an ideal destination for investors with the state government giving thrust to various initiatives like single desk system that enables hassle-free investments. "Andhra is a rapidly growing state on all fronts. We are definitely prominent on the international map now. EO Andhra’s mission is to grow and nurture budding entrepreneurs from the region who will be instrumental in country's business growth," said EO Andhra Pradesh Chapter, president Jairam Kambhampati.
Among those who spoke at the event were popular Telugu pop singer Smita. She spoke about the importance of being an entrepreneur and helping create more opportunities and inspiring the younger generation to take up entrepreneurship. Ms Smita is the only woman to be a part of the founding board of EO, Andhra Pradesh. An entrepreneur herself, Ms Smita represents multiple industries in health, fitness, production, F&B, beauty, retail, handloom and cosmetics.
The EO undertakes several initiatives across its chapters to foster learning, development and inclusive growth within the entrepreneur community. EO South Asia, growth director, Abhay Mehta, Chapter launch expert, Siddhesh Sharma and others were present.
