New Osmania General Hospital building still a dream
Hyderabad: The new building of Osmania General Hospital is still a promise as health minister Dr Laxma Reddy stated that he will come back with the plan. On a visit to the hospital on Thursday afternoon, Dr. Reddy unveiled the new equipments, cardiology department, intensive care units and also the kidney dialysis centre for the hospital.
A senior government doctor on condition of anonymity explained, “He has promised to come back with plans and also details of the new building. He has asked the repair works to be carried out wherever there are damages. We have to further pursue the issue with the government for them to come down on the talking table and reveal the exact action plan.”
While modernised equipments and new facilities are being upgraded in the other hospital extension buildings, the heritage building also requires attention. The OGH Joint Action Committee states that they are going to follow up on the issue till they achieve their target of a new hospital building for OGH.
