Bandi Highlights PM Modi's Remarkable Economic Growth And Global Recognition
Hyderabad: BJP state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar said that the country’s economy has been growing significantly under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Countries, which had denied visas to him earlier, were now extending the red-carpet welcome to Modi, he said.
Stating that the country’s economy was now occupying the fifth position from the tenth before Modi assumed office, Sanjay said, “We are moving ahead from Amritotsav to Amrit Kal.”
He was speaking at the graduation day function of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) here on Saturday. He termed chartered accountants as brand ambassadors of the country’s economy.
It is unfortunate that some opposition parties are trying to downgrade Modi’s image, whereas he is treated with utmost respect abroad, Sanjay Kumar said, adding that Modi was striving to make India the world’s top economy by 2047.
Modi brought reforms in the income-tax segment (changes to 3400 clauses and 42 Acts) because of which the tax payers do not have any negative opinion about him, he said.
Sanjay Kumar called upon CAs to encourage their clients to pay taxes regularly. In the drive to prevent black money, CAs can, and should, play key role. The government is ready to sort out their organisational issues, he said.
