Ramesh Kaza Elected Secretary General of SCSC, Vows to Enhance Cyber Safety Efforts
Hyderabad: The Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) elected Ramesh Kaza as its new secretary general. “I am happy to be the new secretary general of SCSC. It is a unique organisation that is doing well. Cybercrimes are rising by the day and by working with TSPCC, industry representatives and the Cyberabad police commissionerate, we will take all efforts to ensure cyber safety.”
“SMEs require huge hand holding. Today, Hyderabad has the right ecosystem to work on this initiative and I am looking forward to a fruitful journey,” Kaza said.
Police officials, led by Cyberabad commissioner Stephen Raveendra, welcomed Kaza and extended support to take SCSC to the next level on cyber safety, women safety and other fronts.
The outgoing secretary general Krishna Yedula said “In the last four years as the SCSC’s secretary general, I was able to contribute in many ways to the society. The SHE shuttles operated by SCSC have increased from four to 18. We did a very good job during the Covid-19 pandemic and were first to formulate a policy on facilitating work from home. We also helped IT employees get the requisite equipment, helped set up an oxy-care centre, distributed nearly 1.25 lakh food packets and facilitated a free call centre for Covid-affected families. We also adopted nearly 20 Covid orphans,” a press release issued by Stephen Raveendra stated.
Joint commissioner of police Avinash Mohanty, Cyberabad joint commissioner of police (traffic) and other senior officials were present.
