Kottayam: A tipper lorry driver died when the lorry carrying M-sand from Karukachal fell into a roadside rivulet near Chingavanam here on Wednesday.
The accident happened when the lorry veered to the rivulet at Vettitthara after the roadside slope collapsed.
The vehicle fell over driver Sherin Chacko, 32, of Idukki, when he tried to remove some load from it.
Though the locals rushed him to the Kottayam MCH, he was declared brought dead by the doctors.
