Sanjeeva Reddy elected president of INTUC\'s TS and AP chapters

HYDERABAD: Dr G. Sanjeeva Reddy was unanimously elected president of the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana branches of the Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) at the 20th triennial delegate conference held in Hyderabad.

The conference, held at RTC Kalyana Mandapam on Baghlingampally Road, was attended by 528 delegates from across industries and federations affiliated to the INTUC. Babar Salim Pasha, working president of the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) union, proposed the name of Dr Sanjeeva Reddy as president, which was seconded by B, Janakprasad, secretary-general of Singareni Coal Mine Labour Union and M. Raghavaiah, general secretary of National Federation of Indian Railwaymen (NFIR) & South Central Railway.

Following this, the conference unanimously elected Dr Sanjeeva Reddy as president of the AP and Telangana state branches of INTUC. He was authorised to elect the office bearers.

The conference was also attended by R. Prakash Goud, Y. Naganna Goud, V. Bhasker Reddy, V. Kranthi Kumar, Md Rehman, Md Ahmed Ullah, Ravinder Goud, N.V. Srinivas, Jaganmohan Reddy, Narsimha Reddy and Satyajeet Reddy.
