Priyanka recalls Indira Gandhi’s ‘memorable’ Bathukamma in Warangal
Hyderabad: Recalling the ‘sweet memories’ of her grandmother Indira Gandhi’s participation in Bathukamma festivities in Warangal over four decades back, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra conveyed her festive wishes to the people of the state.
Tweeting in Telugu, along with a file picture of former prime minister Indira Gandhi taken in Warangal in 1978 along with local women, the AICC general secretary described the festival as an act reflecting nature's love especially by the women of the ‘state.
“I hope this festival, in which flowers are arranged reflecting the love of nature and where everyone from village and locality gather, brings you joy and happiness (sic),” she tweeted.
