Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council Passes 11 Government Bills in Current Session
VIJAYAWADA: The AP Legislative Council passed 11 government bills on the fourth day of its current session here on Tuesday.
Health minister Vidadala Rajini moved the AP Vaidya Vidhana Parishad (Repeal) Bill, 2023. It was passed.
Among the other government bills were the State Road Transport Corporation (absorption of employees into government service (amendment) bill, 2023 moved by transport minister Pinipe Viswarup; the Motor Vehicles taxation (Amendment) bill, 2023 moved by Viswarup; the Motor Vehicles Taxation (second amendment) bill, 2023 moved by Viswarup; the private universities (establishment and regulation) (amendment) bill, 2023 moved by education minister Botsa Satyanarayana; the AP Public Service Commission (Entrustment of Additional Functions With Respect to the Services of Universities) (Amendment) Bill, 2023 moved by agriculture minister Govardhan Reddy on behalf of CM.
Also passed were the AP GST (Amendment) Bill, 2023, moved by Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath; the AP (regulation of Appointments to Public Services and Rationalisation of staff pattern and pay structure (Amendment) Bill, 2023 moved by Rajendranath; the AP assigned lands (Prohibition of Transfers) Amendment Bill, 2023 moved by revenue minister Dharmana Prasada; the AP Bhoodan and Gramdan (amendment) bill, 2023 moved by revenue minister and the AP charitable and Hindu religious institutions and endowments (amendment) bill, 2023 moved by deputy CM Kottu Satyanarayana.
All these bills had earlier been passed in the Assembly.
