KTR scoffs at Congress vows
HYDERABAD: BRS working president and minister K.T. Rama Rao on Wednesday dismissed the Congress’s claims about what it will do for the state if elected to power calling it a party “without a warranty trying to give guarantees”.
Addressing a public meeting in Sircilla after inaugurating 369 2BHK houses in four villages of Gambhiraopet mandal, Rama Rao said, “Forget the Congress’s six guarantees. In its 65-year rule, that party did not provide drinking water, electricity, pensions, nor did it help the poor. If Congress comes to power, the six things that will happen are farmers will have to suffer with power supply problems, people will start fighting for drinking water, farmers will have to stand in queues for fertilisers, the state will see a new CM every year, Gram Panchayats will become hamlets, and people will not have access to quality education and healthcare system.”
He said, “The Congress could not give Rs 4,000 pensions in Rajasthan, Karnataka, or Chhattisgarh, but they promised it in Telangana. The Congress’s promises are only for votes. And if the BJP and Congress leaders come and give money, take it from them but vote only for the BRS.”
