Karnataka delegation led by MB Patil in USA, hold talks with RTX

Vijayapura: A Karnataka government delegation, led by Minister for Large and Medium Industries MB Patil, embarked on a business promotion visit to the USA. As part of the visit, fruitful discussions were held to bolster trade ties between the two entities.

The delegation held talks with industry giants, including RTX (formerly Raytheon), the world's premier aerospace and defense company, as well as Intelsat, and the esteemed US India SME Council.

The talks with RTX , which houses the R&D centre in Bengaluru, focused on enhancing supply chain connections and contemplating electronics manufacturing in Karnataka. Both sides expressed interest in exploring partnerships with space industry startups for technology collaborations.

Patil stressed the importance of strengthening ties with governmental bodies and educational institutions to foster a skilled workforce.

The primary focus of talks with Intelstat, was broadening the operational horizons of the Indian subsidiary and exploring potential satellite procurement avenues from Indian space startups. MB Patil emphasized the necessity of delving into collaborative opportunities in software solutions, as well as the pivotal role of AI/ML in satellite communications.

Discussions also revolved around the establishment of a global capability center as part of long-term strategic planning.

The US India SME Council meeting witnessed the participation of over 30 CEOs, where MB Patil shed light on investment prospects in Karnataka.

In recognition of his outstanding leadership in advancing business and investment for the progress of Karnataka, MB Patil was honored with the Outstanding Business Promotion Award.
