BJP President Criticizes YSRC Government in Visakhapatnam

Purandeswari Highlights Discrepancy: 400 Drought-Hit Mandals, Government Acknowledges Only 100 in Andhra Pradesh

Visakhapatnam: BJP state president Daggubati Purandeswari has launched a scathing attack on the YSRC government, accusing it of neglect, corruption, and insensitivity towards the plight of the people. During a visit to Anakapalle on Saturday, Purandeswari addressed the media, highlighting several key issues.

One of the primary concerns raised by Purandeswari was the government's inadequate response to the drought situation in the state. She pointed out that 400 mandals in Andhra Pradesh are currently facing drought conditions, yet the government has only recognised 100 mandals as drought-affected. This discrepancy, she asserts, reflects the government's negligence in addressing the crisis.

Purandeswari also targeted the government's handling of welfare schemes, alleging widespread corruption and mismanagement. She particularly criticised the demolition of Praja Vedika, a public meeting space, and the destruction of temples, gopurams, and idols across the state.

Furthermore, Purandeswari expressed outrage over the state government's failure to allocate land for the railway zone sanctioned by the central government in Visakhapatnam. She also pointed out the government's slow progress in completing the 25 lakh houses promised to the poor by the central government.

In a broader assessment of the YSRC government's performance, Purandeswari labeled it as "destructive" and accused it of harassing those who question its corruption. She further claimed that the government is unnecessarily targeting people from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes with SC and ST cases.

Purandeswari's remarks reflect the growing criticism faced by the YSRC government over its various policies and actions. Her allegations and observations have sparked further debate and scrutiny of the government's performance.
