Nizamabad: BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Wednesday told the people not to pay the domestic electricity bills for a monthly usage of below 200 units. The Congress had promised the people during the Assembly elections that it would waive the power bills below 200 units under the Gruha Jyothi scheme after it came to power, she said. “If you receive the electricity bills now, no need to pay them,” she told the people.
Speaking to the reporters here, Kavitha said that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy asked the people to apply for the benefit of the ‘Six Guarantees’, but the people have doubts about the implementation of their promises. “Why is the Congress government inviting applications for pensions? Instead, it should increase the pension amount from the Rs 2,000 which is being given currently to the promised Rs 4,000,” she said.
