Rayapati Sambasiva Rao, son rebut Pawan Kalyan's allegations
GUNTUR: Telugu Desam MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao and his family members are up-in-arms against Jana Sena founder and actor Pawan Kalyan for levelling allegations against them. The MP on Friday refuted the allegations, his son Rangababu wrote to the actor to clarify the air. Mr Sambasiva Rao claimed that he or his family have not violated any law, nor have they defaulters with any bank. He admitted that their firms took loans from various banks and were paying the instalments on time.
Mr Rangababu claimed that their family had been in politics to serve the people and not earn money. Addressing Mr Kalyan in the letter, he said that he was defending his family reputation from being maligned through social media like Twitter and Facebook. He refuted allegations about dumping Polavaram project waste in the green farmlands and claimed that dump yard was established with the permissions of officials according to the norms by offering '19.68 lakh per acre compensation.
He said that his father had gone against AICC president Sonia Gandhi to protect AP’s interests and against division of AP. Mr Rangababu said that his family lost assets which were sold after they entered politics. He added that Mr Kalyan's brother K. Chiranjeevi was aware of the sacrifices one has to make in politics.
