Tamil Nadu CM inaugurates new taluk office in Natrampalli
Vellore: The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa on Saturday inaugurated a
spacious new taluk Office in Natrampalli through video-conferencing
from the Secretariat in Chennai. Earlier, the taluk office was functioning from a small building of the Block Development Office.
Following requests made from several officials, the Chief Minister had directed construction of a new building for the taluk office at Pananthope Sandhai area in Natra mpalli, in an area of 12,701 square feet at a cost of Rs 2.02 crore, said the State minister for School Education K.C. Veera manai, who participated in the function at the new taluk office.
Immediately after the Chief Minister inaugurated the new building, the
minister lit a traditional lamp at the new taluk office building near here.
The Vellore district collector Dr R. Nanthagopal presided over the function, in which Tiruppathur sub-collector J.Y.Chandrakala, MLAs K.G.Ramesh,
K.V.Sampathkumar, Natrampalli panchayat union president Rajendraaan,
Vellore Co-Operative Bank vice president Kumar, Thiruppathur sugar
mills president Selvam, panchayat chairperson Mrs Sarojasalan and many
other officials were present on the occasion.
