Give me one chance: H D Kumaraswamy
Yadgir: "I'm not in good health. But without bothering about my health, I'm touring the state. I would have died as I had two heart operations. I have no ambition of enjoying power, my only desire is to serve the people. If you help my party grow by bringing it to power this time, I promise you that I will improve your condition. You have given a chance to the Congress and BJP. I beseech you with folded hands to give me a chance to work on my own strength". This was an emotional appeal made by JD(S) State President H.D. Kumaraswamy at a meet organised as part of "Vikas Parva" on Tuesday.
Mr Kumaraswamy also criticised the policies of the state and Union governments and held out some promises to woo voters. "I have gained more experience now and understand better how to administer the state. Within 20 hours of coming to power, I will waive the entire loans of farmers, who are in great distress and are committing suicide. I will also provide 24 hours free power to farmers and introduce Israeli model farming here. I will invite a farmer every month-end to Vidhana Soudha to seek his advice. For pregnant women a monthly honorarium of Rs 6,000 for six months will be provided", Mr Kumaraswamy stated.
