Telangana: Thakre begins five-day tour, Nalgonda meeting today
Hyderabad: Congress’ Telangana incharge Manikrao Thakre, who started a five-day tour of the state on Tuesday, will hold a meeting of key leaders in the Nalgonda Parliamentary constituency in Kodad of Suryapet on Wednesday.
The meeting will focus on the ongoing Haath Se Haath Jodo Abhiyan, with AICC secretary N.S. Bose Raju and MP N. Uttam Kumar Reddy expected to be in attendance.
Upon his arrival in Hyderabad on Tuesday, Thakre immediately left for Kodad to hold a night camp to meet select leaders in one-to-one appointments. Following the meeting on Wednesday, he will meet leaders and take part in the ongoing campaign.
On Thursday, Thakre will meet Thota Pavan, a youth Congress leader who was allegedly beaten up by BRS leaders, in Warangal. Thakre will also visit the family of N. Kumaraswamy, the recently deceased DCC president, in Mulugu.
On Friday, the AICC incharge will hold a meeting with AICC secretaries and prominent leaders, followed by a meeting with coordinators of Leader Development Mission in Reserved Constituencies (LDMRC) and a meeting with Dharani coordinators.
On Saturday, Thakre will chair a meeting with the DCC president of Hyderabad and the general secretary incharge of the city, followed by a meeting with mandal presidents. After a night camp in Hyderabad, he will leave for Nagpur the next day.
