Hyderabad: MLA's plea on Qutb park costs Rs 2.7 crore
The managing committee delayed its renaming and opening of the park based on representation of an MLA in May 2012.
Hyderabad: As much as Rs 2.7 crore has gone down the drain due to the delay in renaming and opening of Quli Qutb Shah Deccan Park near Golconda in the city.
Though the park was ready by 2006, CAG found that it was not opened to public due to legal disputes over title of the land, which was subsequently settled in favour of QQSUDA.
The managing committee delayed its rena-ming and opening of the park based on representation of an MLA in May 2012. The idle facilities became unserviceable, costing exchequer heavily.
