KTR sends legal notices to Revanth, Bandi over TSPSC issue

Hyderabad: IT minister K.T. Rama Rao on Tuesday sent legal notices to TPCC chief A. Revanth Reddy and Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay for their allegations against him in the TSPSC paper leakage issue, warning them that they would face Rs 100-crore defamation suits if they did not withdraw their allegations and tender a public apology to him.

Stating that both the leaders were trying to cast aspersions on the minister and damage his reputation, Rama Rao's lawyer sent legal notices to Revanth Reddy and Sanjay.

The notice said that unless the leaders refrained from making defamatory statements and tendered a public apology, Rama Rao would take forward the legal proceedings and file a defamation suit in the court of competent jurisdiction.

Rama Rao had earlier said that Revanth Reddy and Sanjay had dragged the Telangana government and himself into the issue of paper leakage without understanding the autonomous nature of the constitutionally constituted TS Public Service Commission.

Stating that there was a “terrible conspiracy” by the BJP and the Congress to stall the recruitment process, he said that Sanjay and Revanth Reddy had earlier termed the Telangana government's job notifications a conspiracy. Their comments that the youth should put aside their exam preparations and get into politics reflected the deceitful mentality of these leaders, the notice said.
