Rescue husband from Malaysia: Pandiammal
Madurai: A mother of three children petitioned the district collector Veera Raghava Rao requesting him on Monday to rescue her husband from Malayisa. Pandiammal (45) from Madurai, who came along with her children to the grievance day to the collectorate, told Rao that her husband Pandian (48) had left for Malaysia three years ago to work in a hotel. She received a call from her husband nearly a year and a half ago when he informed her that the hotel owner had been forcing him to surrender his passport, she said. Since then she has not received any communication from him.
When Pandiammal contacted her relatives, who were also working in Malaysia, they informed her that Pandian was in jail. Hence she requested the collector to rescue Pandian. The collector assured her he would take up the issue with the Indian embassy.
