Palestine embassy sought in Hyderabd

Mr Alhaijaa told the media that Indo Arab League, Hyderabad, chairman Syed Vicaruddin Quadri had offered to provide a building for the consulate.

Hyderabd: Ambassador Adnan Abu Alhaijaa said the Palestine Authority would apply to the Indian government to set up a Palestinian Consulate in Hyderabad.

Mr Alhaijaa told the media that Indo Arab League, Hyderabad, chairman Syed Vicaruddin Quadri had offered to provide a building for the consulate. “We are yet to formally apply with the MEA. Next month we will approach the Indian authorities in this regard,” he said.

He said that in July last year, Israel had adopted a “racist law” that crossed all the red lines, called the Nation-State Law of the Jewish People. “This law denied connection of the Palestinian people to their historic homeland and dismisses their right to self-determination. It will inevitably lead to the creation of one racist state, an apartheid state, and nullifies the two-state solution,” he said.
