Kozhikode: Around 60 sovereign of gold was robbed from the house of Ashif, Chettakunnil House near Thalassery. It was after the family returned home after a short vacation of two-days at their ancestral home that the theft came to notice. The robbers entered the house after breaking the window grille of the master bedroom and took all the gold that was kept inside the secret locker of the almara.
A case has been registered with Thalassery town police station. According to Town Police CI M.P. Asad, a gang had recently started robbery operations aimed at closed houses within the town limit and the police have already started investigation to identify the individuals involved in the crime.
