Hyderabad: Owaisi school kids shine in SSC exams
Hyderabad: 62 students of the Owaisi School of Excellence Nashemannagar have passed out with distinction. The students are the first batchers of the school who appeared for the SSC Public Examination two months ago.
The Owaisi School of Excellence is managed by the Salar-e Millat Educational Trust, set up by AIMIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi about 14 years ago. A total of six schools are run by the Trust across the city. Three more schools including an intermediate college for girls will be coming up soon.
“Education on par with international standards is being offered free of cost to the students in the schools. Qualified teachers have been recruited to impart best education to the children. The schools are equipped with digital, state-of-the-art classrooms with modern furniture. The campuses present a corporate look,” said Naseer Ghayaz, director Salar-e Millat Educational Trust.
The schools offer free education to the children from poor families located at Nashemannagar, Riyatsatnagar, Hafeez Babanagar, Amberpet and Narqi Phoolbagh. The Trust has planned to start a few more schools in the city and Nizamabad district in Telangana.
“Schools are also being started in Malegaon, Bhiwandi and Nanded districts. Already the preliminary works have been completed here. We will also be providing civil services training to the IAS and IPS aspirants from the city and districts too. All free of cost,” added AIMIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi.
Last academic year, the trust provided free coaching to SSC students at its educational institutions in the old city. Around 700 students had attended the coaching and those who scored above 8.5 score in the SSC public examination are being provided financial assistance for intermediate level studies.
“If they excel at intermediate level, the educational expenses of undergraduate and postgraduate level will be met by the Trust,” said Mr Naseer. This apart, the Trust is also imparting vocational training to women in various trades.
