Chennai schools score 10/10 in CBSE exams

In Tamil Nadu, of 38,529 students who appeared for exams 38,443 cleared the exams

Chennai: Despite losing more than 30 working days to continuous rains andfloods last November and December, Chennai schools performed better in CBSE class 10 examinations this year.

In many schools the number of students scoring Cumulative Grade Point Average of 10, which is equal to scoring full marks has increased and majority of the students scored at least 80 per cent of marks this year. CBSE regional officer K.Srinivasan said, “In Chennai region out of 1.62 lakh students appeared in the class 10 exams, 1.61 have qualified it and 500 not qualified. The pass percentage is 99.69%.”

In Tamil Nadu, of 38,529 students who appeared for exams 38,443 cleared the exams . Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka states have done slightly better. Of the 14.91 lakh students registered for the exam, 1.68 lakh students secured the perfect 10 CGPA.
