Hyderabad: To ensure a smooth election, Rachakonda police commissioner along with senior police officials on Wednesday inspected security arrangements at various polling booths in the commissionerate.
He instructed the police officials posted at various polling stations to be vigilant and ensure security and safety of the voters. Chauhan inspected the polling station in Saroornagar Nagar Indoor Stadium and CVR College at Ibrahimpatnam.
Chauhan briefed the police personnel about the security arrangements. All the necessary security arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of the elections, Chauhan said.
“We have imposed section 144 from 5 pm on Tuesday till 5 pm on Thursday. People have been banned from gathering on the streets unnecessarily and checkposts have been set up wherever necessary,” the commissioner said. “Various measures are being taken to prevent the movement of illegal cash, our force are alert and taking precautions to avoid any untoward incident, a press release issued by Rachakonda police PRO stated.
