Hyderabad: A ‘human chain’ against the implementation of the CAA, NPR and the NRC scheduled for January 30 has been cancelled as the Police refused to accord permission. However, the ‘human chain’ agitation by women will be held on February 2 at Darul Uloom Hyderabad, Shivrampally, which is being organised by the United Muslim Action Committee.
The United Muslim Action Committee had planned the ‘human chain’ agitation from Mohammadi Lanes to Bapu Ghat, Karman Ghat but the Police did not accord with its permission. Now the committee announced a protest meeting of women against the CAA-NPR-NRC. AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi, Dr Asma Zehra Convener Women’s wing AIMPLB, Ms Aqeela Hashmi Vice President Women’s wing of Tameer e Millat, Ms Sandhya President of Progressive Women Organisation, Ms Vemula Murtala Convener Alliance against CAA, Ms Rukmini Naika General Secretary All India Samajika Mahajana and others will address.
