Nellore: The Hemalambi Ugadi predicts good rains and happiness for people as per Telugu almanac, panchangam, which was rendered at Tirumala temple on Wednesday, as a part of Ugadi Asthanam. After performing temple rituals to processional deities of Sri Malayappa Swamy flanked by his two consorts Sri Devi, Bhu Devi, Sri Viswaksena at Bangaru vakili, the TTD pundit rendered the forecasted results in panchangam in the new year day of Telugu calendar.
Later, speaking on the occasion, TTD EO Dr D. Sambasiva Rao wished all the Telugu speaking devotees on the occasion of Ugadi and said the TTD is committed to offer better services to pilgrims. “Even we are now planning to enhance the number of Srivari Seva volunteers who are enrolling online to 1,000 from June 1 onwards,” he added. The EO also complimented Garden wing of TTD for making unique vegetable and floral structures including "Dasavaratara" in watermelon, grape roof, floral elephant, pineapple chariot etc. The devotees had a long day taking photographs and selfies in front of some of these structures which were arranged outside the temple in the front yard.
