Vijayawada: The AP State Atheist Association has offered to felicitate astrologers and pundits who correctly predict various aspects of the election results due on May 23.
Association president N. Venkata Subbaiah said astrologers and pundits provide their detailed predictions for the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections regarding the Telugu Desam, YSRC, Jana Sena and parties in the sealed cover by May 15.
Those who correctly predict the results will be taken in a procession in Vijayawada and felicitated. He said the association would lodge a complaint against the astrologers and pundits if they give wrong predictions.
Mr Subbaiah said astrologers, pundits and babas were deceiving the public, and their predictions never came true. He lamented that the government was failing to promote scientific thinking because of which people were falling prey to astrologers and pundits. He said that the predictions made by the astrologers had not come true in the 2014 elections, but they had started cheating the public again.
