Police, fire service personnel help flood-affected in Telangana
Hyderabad: In the wake of the heavy rain that lashed several parts in Telangana, people in several places across the state were submerged in floods. While some were rendered shelterless after their houses were inundated, a few others were left marooned with both road and other modes of transportation being cut off.
In such a situation, Telangana DGP M. Mahender Reddy and the entire police department helped the people tide over the crisis. In a tweet by the journalist of an electronic news channel, it was stated that the police rescued around 4,000 people stranded in floodwaters. Similarly, the Telangana fire service personnel also rescued over 1,500 people.

In a video posted in the tweet, a police constable is seen helping villagers in carrying a doli with an old woman from a remote place. Such instances instill confidence in people’s mind that the government machinery is really working for the people.
