Nadda accuses Kerala government of shielding radical elements

Thiruvananthapuram: BJP national president J P Nadda on Monday lashed out at the CPM-led LDF government in Kerala accusing it of protecting radical forces in the state.

Inaugurating the secretariat siege organised by the NDA in Thiruvananthapuram to demand the resignation of chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Nadda alleged that the state government remained a mute spectator even when a Hamas leader addressed a rally online in Kerala the other day. He said the bomb blast that took place in Ernakulam on Sunday should be condemned by one and all, he said.

However, while doing so one cannot ignore the government’s stand towards the radical forces. “I was in Kerala in July 2022 and at that time I had accused the state government of covering up the activities of the radical elements. The government has been misleading the people of Kerala on such issues,” he said.

Nadda arrived at the venue of the agitation before the secretariat in a procession which turned out to be a road show.

Earlier, hundreds of workers of the BJP and NDA constituents descended on the state capital and blocked three of the four main gates of the state secretariat to demand the resignation of the chief minister. The party organised the protest against the alleged corruption of the government.
