Cancellation of exam: HC seeks contentions of TSPSC, govt.
Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court on Monday directed the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) and the state government to submit their contentions by Friday in a petition seeking cancellation of the examination conducted for appointments of junior lecturers for English on September 12.
Praneeth Reddy, and four other candidates, who appeared for the exam, filed the petition complaining that out of 150 questions in English Paper-II, 37 were ‘Out of prescribed syllabus’, ‘incorrect questions’, ‘ambiguous questions’, ‘incorrect answer key’, ‘multiple correct answers’ and ‘all options incorrect’.
They also mentioned that the TSPSC had released the preliminary key on September 22 and sought objections. Responding to that, the petitioners raised objections regarding 37 questions of Paper-II (English Subject) within the stipulated period as provided through a link provided in the TSPSC website and requested them to cancel the Paper-II (English) written test.
They alleged that the commission did not consider the objections and was set to release the final key and selection list. Complaining about the same, the petitioners approached the High Court for cancellation of the examination.
