N Chandrababu Naidu calls minister on APFSL row
GUNTUR: AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu called AP minister for home affairs N. China Rajappa on Friday and asked Mr Rajappa to meet him. No protocol was followed to invite Mr Rajappa for laying the foundation of AP Forensic Science Lab at Thullur on December 28. Hence, Mr Rajappa skipped the programme in anger. APFSL director Dr KPC Gandhi called Mr Rajappa and apologised for the mistake. The state government allotted three acres of land for APFSL construction at Thullur and laying of foundation programme was held by Mr Naidu.
AP DGP N. Sambasiva Rao, ministers, MLAs, MLCs, local body representatives and officials participated in the programme but Mr Rajappa’s absence became a big issue. Mr Rajappa was in Vijayawada but expressed his reluctance to attend the programme. Mr Naidu inquired about the cause and has taken action against the officials responsible. But Mr Rajappa remained adamant. Hence, Mr Naidu called Mr Rajappa and said that he inquired about the matter and asked Mr Rajappa to meet him personally. Meanwhile Mr Gandhi admitted to his fault and expressed his apologies for the mistake made.
