Hyderabad: TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy filed a complaint with the joint director of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Basheerbagh on Friday regarding the TSPSC exam paper leak, claiming that money laundering and hawala transactions had taken place to the tune of several crores of rupees when question papers changed hands.
Because of this, Revanth Reddy claimed, the Hyderabad police Special Investigation Team (SIT) would not be able to investigate the case and it required a thorough probe by Central investigating agencies such as the Enforcement Directorate and the CBI.
"If the state government has an issue with the BJP over demanding a CBI or an ED probe, the government must write to the TS High Court and seek a probe by a judge," he said.
Revanth Reddy demanded that the investigation agencies look into the alleged role of IT minister K.T. Rama Rao, claiming that the TS Technology Service, a specialised agency under the information technology department, had supplied equipment to the TSPSC under the minister’s supervision.
Revanth Reddy in his complaint to the ED alleged that Shankar Lakshmi, incharge of the confidential section of the TSPSC, was the first to leak the question papers. However, she had been listed as a witness by the SIT, he claimed.
"The accused A. Rajasekhar is a TSPSC outsourced employee. The other accused were students and TSPSC employees. We demand that the government investigate Shankar Lakshmi who knows everything about the case,” he demanded.
With regard to the defamation notice served on him by Rama Rao, Revanth Reddy said, “It is not like a signing agreement for actress Samantha's web series and a film with Rakul Preet Singh. A person like KTR Rao who does not have a reputation has sent a defamation suit. Only if KTR has a reputation, he is eligible for sending a defamation notice.”
