Lucknow: Senior BJP MLA Radha Mohan Das Agarwal has landed in trouble again for a remark that he made to a woman who had come to him to seek a house under a government scheme.
The BJP MLA was in Sant Kabir Nagar on Tuesday to attend a programme to mark three years of the Modi government. A poor woman came to the MLA and complained that she had not been given a house under the housing schemes for the poor. The MLA asked her how many children she had and the woman replied that she had two children.
“Did you deliver both the children together,” he asked her and the woman was astounded but muttered ‘No’.
“Just like it takes time to deliver children, it takes time for everyone to get a house. The PM has promised that everyone will get a house by 2022 and we will fulfil the promise,” he said.
