GHMC plans laser shows at Durgam Cheruvu
Hyderabad: Durgam Cheruvu is likely to give a tough competition to Lumbini Park, as it gears up for the Laser show. At the inaugural of Phase 1, a laser show was hosted by Raheja Corp., portraying the depletion of lakes and lake rejuvenation activities taken up by the TRS government as part of Mission Kakatiya. The civic body has reportedly put up a proposal for conducting a laser show on a daily basis. Lumbini Park has become synonymous with the laser shows which were introduced 14 years ago
A GHMC official said, “We organised the laser show only for one day on the day of inauguration. Subsequently, we are preparing proposals to have laser shows continuously. The development is currently still with Raheja but there is a proposal to have a laser show after the completion of Phase-2 of renovation works.”.
The GHMC is spending Rs 10 crore for the development of another 4 km of the Park by Raheja Corp. as part of their corporate social responsibility while a 2.2 km cycling track and other amenities have been developed at Rs 15 crore as part of Phase-1.
