Ananthkumar Hegde should be ashamed: BJP leader
Mysuru: State BJP vice president, V Srinivasprasad was openly criticial on Saturday of Union Minister, Ananthkumar Hegde for his remarks on the Constitution.
“Nobody must talk lightly of the Constitution,” he told reporters here. “Such statements have hurt me. Ambedkar was a great man, and nobody must belittle the Constitution that has been drafted by such a person. He ( Hegde) should be ashamed of justifying what he has said. Having been elected for five terms to Parliament doesn’t he realise the value of the Indian Constitution?” he demanded.
Insisting that senior BJP leaders must take action against those speaking ill of the Constitution in the party, he said, “Ambedkar is my spiritual guru. He is
more important to me than any political leader.”
Also contesting the Pejawar seer’s statement that the Constitution was drafted not by Dr Ambedkar alone, he said, “Nobody should make such childish statements. Religious seers must confine their work to their maths.”
