Ajay Maken slams new rule at vote counting centres
Congress leader Ajay Maken on Sunday slammed the new rules introduced by the lection Commission of India at the vote counting centres.
The senior Congress leader in a post on X alleged that candidate’s counting agents were not being allowed at the ARO (Assistant Returning Officer) table.
‘Candidate’s Counting Agents’ at the ARO table are NOT being allowed for the first time!!! I have contested 9 Lok Sabha & Vidhan Sabha elections in the past- And this is happening for the first time. If true, this is bigger than the alleged EVM rigging! I am flagging this issue for all candidates! I hope @ECISVEEP rectifies it soon, said Ajay Maken in his X post.
